This is a systematic approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of disease. Each symptom or differential diagnosis may be one of many contributing to the patient’s illness. Blood work analysis along with dietary changes is offered. Additional lab work may be requested upon evaluation.
Adding corrective exercise to your regime will help your body work more effectively. It is imperative that we move correctly day-to-day, otherwise, our aches and pains will continue to come back. Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) is the foundational support for each individual’s corrective exercise program.
Microneedling (Cosmetic Acupuncture)
Microneedling therapy also called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) and Percutaneous (through the skin) Collagen Induction (PCI), is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of the MD Needle Pen. The mechanical action of the pen allows the needles to puncture the skin and create a controlled “injury” at a specific depth. Microneedling improves skin tone and texture, firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.
In Chinese medicine, acupuncture is linked to the belief that disease is caused by disruptions to the flow of energy, or Qi, in the body. Acupuncture can be used for any type of imbalance, such as with emotional disorders, digestive complaints, or chronic inflammatory conditions. Acupuncture is beneficial to relieve the stress of all kinds, along with relaxing overworked muscles inactive individuals.
Dry Needling & Electroacupuncture:
These are both used as a musculoskeletal treatment to quickly relax tight muscles that are in spasm and stimulate tissue healing. Both modalities are easy to use in conjunction with spinal manipulation and allow the patient time to relax in a quiet room.
The suction and negative pressure from cupping can loosen muscles, increase blood flow, and sedate the nervous system. Cupping is used to relieve muscular pain, but it also used to stimulate powerful acupuncture points along the bladder meridian.
Did you know the weight of a dime can decrease nerve conduction by 60%? Removing unwanted pressure from the nerves allows your body to function more efficiently. The side effects are decreased pain, decreased inflammation, improved organ/joint/muscular function, and better overall health.
GuaSha & Soft Tissue Manipulation
An instrument is used to scrape the skin to physically influence fascia, trigger points, and scar tissue. This technique releases stubborn areas allowing for faster recovery, restored range of motion, and normal function to tissues and joints.
Thai Bodywork with LauraLouu
Thai Bodywork is a form of massage and energy work. Using conscious touch, stretches, range of motion, and other techniques performed gently to affect the whole energy and nervous system to relieve pain and restore balance. These practices are fully clothed in comfortable clothing and the use of essential oils with permission from the client.
For six months Dr. Popp has been treating the chronic pain in my neck and spine. She is highly knowledgeable and skilled in her practice of chiropractic care, and her holistic approach to healing can include acupuncture and other treatments. The combination of what she offers in her practice has helped me with the pain I was experiencing. Dr. Popp’s kind approach makes me feel comfortable and she offers information and practical advice so that I can be an active participant in my healing. My experience with Dr. Popp has been positive and I would highly recommend her.
I first met Kaitlyn when I booked my acupuncture sessions with her in April of 2018. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 16 and since then it has been a struggle to regulate my menses. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for 4&1/2 years to no avail so I decided to incorporate acupuncture. I was traveling for work and only had about three weeks with her but in that short amount of time she helped me exponentially.
I quickly came to find out I had struck gold in finding her because she is also a Functional Medicine Practitioner. She was able to address the route of just about every ailment of mine – my gut! She spent countless hours on the phone with me, tirelessly explaining the need to adjust certain aspects of my diet and why. I just turned 40 yrs old and I cannot remember a time where I felt this good mentally & physically. I just recently found out I am 5 weeks pregnant for the first time and it was done naturally. A huge part of my success story is due to Kaitlyn’s knowledgeable support system. She is a rare gem and anyone should count their lucky stars to fall under her care!
Kaitlyn Popp’s office feels like more of a home than a clinic, but what’s most impressive about her practice, is her. She’s professional, compassionate and authentic. All traits that helped ease my anxiety concerning a chronic case of vertigo that I’ve been suffering from for almost a year. I just completed my second round of acupuncture and my inflammation levels are decreasing. I highly recommend her.
I had a perfectly good Kinesiologist, that I very much enjoyed going to for adjustments, acupuncture, and cupping. So when I signed up for the “Wellness Warrior” program at Highlands Health & Wellness, I swore I wouldn’t let this new Chiropractor adjust me and would use her for acupuncture treatments only (the program included 12 chiropractic/acupuncture treatments). That was over 6 months ago and I haven’t seen my old Kinesiologist since. I used up those 12 included treatments before the end of January and happily started paying for treatments in February.
Dr. Popp is amazing and I completely trust her. She is very knowledgeable and has helped me with all of my needs, whether chiropractic, acupuncture, cupping or dry needling. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented chiropractor. She is also a very knowledgeable nutritionist and I enjoy sharing and learning from her at each visit. Your search ends here…Dr. Popp is the answer you’ve been looking for.
