Functional Medicine

Functional Medicine is a systematic approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of disease. Each symptom or differential diagnosis may be one of many contributing to the patient’s illness. Our specialty lies in Functional Medicine, where we dive deep into your health history and current health concerns to discover the root cause and address it from the core. Diagnostic testing and customized nutraceutical support are individualized to the patient.

Testing available: comprehensive blood analysis, hormones, stool, and gut analysis, environmental toxicities, heavy metals, food sensitivities, genetics, and autoimmunity screens

“Dr. Popp was recommended to me by a couple of people who raved about her, so I had to check her out. She goes above and beyond with caring and helping her patients. I couldn’t have found a better chiropractor!”

Chiropractic treatment removes unwanted pressure from nerve roots allowing your body to function efficiently. It not only improves how you physically feel, but innervation to internal organs also improves. What does this mean? Improved digestion, detox function, better mood, and restful sleep.

You’ll experience decreased pain, decreased inflammation, improved organ/joint/muscular function, and better overall health.

Our specialty includes Pain management, low back pain, neck pain, headaches, sports injuries, TMJ, and those who have been injured in auto accidents.

“Her knowledge and experience have had a huge impact on the health of my back! The combination of adjustments, acupuncture, and cupping has extended my career, I highly recommend her!
-Ed A.

In Chinese medicine, acupuncture is linked to the belief that disease is caused by disruptions to the flow of energy, or “Qi”, in the body. Acupuncture can be used for any type of imbalance, such as with emotional disorders, digestive complaints, or chronic inflammatory conditions. Acupuncture is beneficial to relieve stress of all kinds, along with relaxing overworked muscles.

Other forms of Acupuncture treatment that complement Chiropractic care include Chinese Cupping, Dry Needling, and Electroacupuncture.

Chinese Cupping

The suction and negative pressure from cupping can loosen muscles, increase blood flow, and sedate the nervous system. Cupping is used to relieve muscular pain, but it also used to stimulate powerful acupuncture points along the bladder meridian.

Dry Needling and Electroacupuncture

These are both used as a musculoskeletal treatment to quickly relax tight muscles that are in spasm and stimulate tissue healing. Both modalities are easy to use in conjunction with spinal manipulation and allow the patient time to relax in a quiet room.

Microneedling (Cosmetic Acupuncture)

Microneedling therapy is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of the MD Needle Pen. It improves skin tone and texture, firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks. Put simply, it is the insertion of ultra-fine needles into the skin to boost collagen production.
