Removing unwanted pressure from the nerves allows your body to function more efficiently. The side effects are decreased pain, decreased inflammation, improved organ/joint/muscular function and better overall health!
Adding corrective exercise to your regime will help your body work more effectively. It is imperative that we move correctly day-to-day, otherwise our aches and pains will continue to come back. Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) is the foundational support to each individual’s corrective exercise program. DNS is a type of rehab that focuses on the developmental process of an infant and the neural connections made during major developmental milestones of one’s life.
Functional Medicine is a systematic approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of disease. Each symptom or differential diagnosis may be one of many contributing to the patient’s illness. Blood work analysis along with dietary changes are offered. Additional lab work may be requested upon evaluation.
In Chinese medicine, acupuncture is linked to the belief that disease is caused by disruptions to the flow of energy, or Qi, in the body. Acupuncture can be used for any type of imbalance, such as with emotional disorders, digestive complaints, or with chronic inflammatory conditions. Acupuncture is beneficial to relieve stress of all kind, along with relaxing overworked muscles in active individuals.
Dry Needling / Acu with E-Stim
There will also be an option for dry needling or acupuncture with e-stim during a chiropractic session. These are both used as a musculoskeletal treatment to quickly relax tight muscles that are in spasm and stimulate tissue healing. Both modalities are easy to use in conjunction with spinal manipulation and allow the patient time to relax in a quiet room.
The suction and negative pressure from cupping can loosen muscles, increase blood flow and sedate the nervous system. Cupping is used to relieve muscular pain, but it also used to stimulate powerful acupuncture points along the bladder meridian.
